How is the BCA/BBA course different from other Diploma/Certificate courses?

The BCA/BBA course is quite different from any other course offered by other non recognized Institutes. It concentrates more on concepts, with the students having to apply the knowledge learnt in the class to the practical assignments. This course has challenges even for the best of students.  More important, BCA / BBA is a three year full time degree course affiliated by UGC Recognized State University. The degree is recognized by government of India for various graduate level jobs and by foreign universities for higher education in US, Europe and Australia.

What are the timings of the course?

As general rule, lectures lasts from 9 am to 3 pm, Monday to Friday. Practical sessions are also conducted during this time.  Some times a quest lecturer from industry conduct classes on weekends. The course lasts for three years and is a full time course. Actual timing may differ for summer and winter semesters.

What is the placement scene with BCA / BBA?

BCA/BBA graduates are actively absorbed by the Industry. ARIMT has made placement tie-up with a major placement consultancy called Sterling HR Services for placement of its students. Many students also plan to either go in for PGDM / MBA or MCA course to enhance their professional qualification and then go ahead with placements.

Are BCA/BBA course good enough for securing placement?

It is observed that the university syllabus is not in tune with the demands of corporate industry as it is developed purely by academicians without any consultation with the professionals. To improve chances of getting a better job, the student must acquire several additional skills in addition to his/her Degree. Here, ARIMT has an edge over other Institutes.
